Workshop 3 - One Image after Another

When it came to this task i was quite out of my depth, having never really used photoshop before i struggled to begin with, with work one i just added solid colour layers on top and dropped the opacity, this seemed to work adequately enough in that it helped me become more comfortable with photoshop, i then proceeded onto work two, and this time using effects i blended the entire picture together and then used liquify filter and drew the entire image outwards making the image look quite nice i felt. the on work three i decided to do something similar to work one, except this time i duplicated the layer and cut out sections of the image and just began seeing what each effect can do and does, i then cut out the middle part of the image and moved it slightly to the right, which created a kind solid shadow.

On work 4 I used mostly the erase and clone stamp tool and then dropped the opacity somewhat, this made the image feel very disjointed.
Then on work 5 i put everything i had learnt so far into effect, first duplicating the layer and using the lasso tool i cut around the magpie and removed the background, leaving only the magpie standing on a woodstock carton, then i selected various parts of the still intact layer and began playing around with the blend tool and texturising filters, to create a more palatable disjointed mess, then i duplicated the magpie layer with just the magpie many times and then placed them next to each other.
